Try and Try Until You Succeed (Do your best and God will do the Rest)

The day I arrived here in the US it made me think of what life awaits me here. Almost everything is new to me. I admit that it is hard to cope up with the new environment but thanks to my husband who always there for me and above all our God who promised that "He will never leave nor forsake us". As I start my journey here there are many things that happened along the way which are the combination of joy, sadness, fear, excitement and all other feelings. I  don't have any problem obtaining my card to be a legal resident here since I went  here on a spousal visa and the USCIS just dropped my resident card in our mailbox. The next thing that I worried about is to apply for a job so I can help paying our bills. Honestly, life in the Philippines is pretty much simple than here in America. Although, the salary there is not much compare here in the US but the bills there were just basic like electricity or water.Since I arrived here I am the one who always check the mail and what we had almost everyday in the mailbox are bills, advertisement and not much really important to deal with. I thought that we are the only one who received such thing everyday but I talked to some friends that I met that they experienced the same thing. So, my main goal now is to apply for a job. But applying a job is not that simple than I expected. Most of the good paying jobs are require you to have a Valid driver's license which I don't have and it might be my main goal now, " to learn how to drive". :) I want to encourage myself with the phrase which I titled this post - try and try until you succeed-. Sounds simple but sometimes it is hard to do especially when we are in the midst of great needs and pressure.

One thing that I want to share in this post is that God really answer prayers and if we only keep on trying we will reach that goal. Last year, my husband was informed by his daughter that she will get married this June 9 and we were looking forward together to attend the wedding in New York. I will be 5 months here in June  18 and I don't have a work yet. Two(2) weeks before the wedding we had nothing in hand but a money less than $100 dollar. The question is, where we are going to get the money to buy the ticket? My husband is already frustrated and stressed out because as much as possible he needs to be there at the wedding. My husband is self-employed all his life because he can't work regularly as he has a broken neck and spine. Ticket prices goes higher everyday if you will buy them closer to the date of the departure and it really scares me as the ticket goes up to more than $500.... and I was thinking how much more if we will buy a ticket 1 week or 5 days before the flight?

How  GOD PROVIDES our NEEDS plus KEEP ON TRYING.......

In this life I learned that God will use anything or anybody that you could imagine just to show you His blessings.

First, our neighbor's toilet is broken and they called my husband to work and replace it. :) Next, same neighbor after the toilet it was found out that the sewer is licking because the rats chewed or eating the pipe for a long a time and need a replacement. So, my husband did it thought it was a kind of misery working under the sewer with a such horrible smell.

Second, our other neighbor's house was on fire and hired my husband to do some work that related to his skills and specialty.

Third, after a long time I sold 4 items on ebay at once paid the next day for $220... :)

Fourth, since we had some money earn from those jobs ( though we use some of them to pay our bills) we were hunting for a ticket and I spent hours searching for the lowest price. But most of them were closely up to $700 which we don't have that much. I've stayed up late up to 2 am hunting for the ticket and Glory to God I finally find one for $408 and that includes the car that my husband to be rented which he arrive in New York.

Woooh, on that very short days God really provide our needs.... But before those days we keep on praying and believing that God will make a way and He really did. Today is my hubby's flight to New York and praying for his safe travel and enjoy the wedding. :) :) :)

YES, TRY and TRY until you SUCCEED... Do your BEST and GOD will do the REST......

GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME.... All the Glory belongs to Him..

Thank you for reading....

    1. Yes, the beneficiary is included in determining your poverty guideline. You can include them as source of income but make sure to include proper documents when you submit the I-864 form to the NVC. But since, your income is good enough for 3, I believe a bank statement, letter of employment, pay stub, etc will be fine..

    1. He needs to gather all the DS-230 Packet and send it to you or he can directly send them to the NVC... :) I have a post about the DS-230 PAcket... I will check where is it.. ehhe..

  6. I have another question for you.my husband ,and I was married before I left Ghana, when back to the states I filed a I129 and a I130 both approved, but we want the I130 ,but my husband received a letter from the consular saying come in on Wed ,and pick up a package for a k3 wht do we do

    ReplyDelete

    1. In that case, since your I-130 is also approved, I would suggest proceed with it and ignore the I-129... Just inform the consulate or whoever sent him a letter that you will proceed the spousal or CR-1 visa. It is more practical and worth doing. God bless.

    2. Thank u. do u know if we email the consular

      Delete
    3. You don't have too. But for your peace of mind you can email them...

      Delete
    4. So should he even bother gng to the k3 interview

      Delete
    5. No he doesn't need too... It's another cost. K3 actually is obsolete. Because K3 is only another way to bring him here in the US faster... That's only if the I-129F approved first than I-130... But since they are both approved proceed with the CR1 instead. I-130 is the CR1.... K3 id both I-129 and I-130 which is waste of time and money.... Just submit all your docs to the NVC, pay the fees and wait for the interview sched.... God bless... Did you pay the AOS and IV FEE already?

      Delete
    6. Yes paid both the AOS,and. IV fee. just over night my husband DS-230 today.
Once do you think it will be a problem if he doesn't show to the K3 interview,I don't want it to affect our I130 .can he just go,and b4 he exchange any money can't he show the approval letter for the I130 and the receipts for the I864, and DS-230.And will he have to redo a physical even through he did it for the K3 Please advise wht u wld do.
      would greatly appreciate it

    7. He already did the Physical Exam? what from did he submit to the Clinic/Hospital for the check-up? from the the case number from NVC or from the Consulate,...

      Delete
  7. He hasn't done the physical his interview is schedule on 5/20/13. they gave him a place to go get it done. please help :0 .dont want to spend any unnecessary money. just sent the DS-230 to NVC

    1. Who gave him the schedule for interview? The Consulate?

The NVC should be the one who will give him an interview schedule....

Does he has a schedule already for his Physical or MEdical exam? On the application on his medical, he needs to bring the copy of case number from NVC or he can wait until your case will be completed before he will do the physical. Then, he will bring the appointment letter that the NVC will send you after your case will be completed. He needs to put CR1 under his visa category on the Physical/Medical not the K3...

  8. I called NVC they said to tell him to go ahead to the interview, but give them the papers for thr I130 to show we already are in the process of the I 130, they said they may go ahead, and interview him for the I130 or just cancel the k3,and wait for an appointment for a interview for the I130. Once I'm getting tired of this. I don't know how much more I cab hang in thr.I'm ready to be with my husband tired of traveling bk,and fourth

    1. Hang on there.. You are very close..It depends on your budget... In my case, my place is far from the capital where the interview held... So, if that case will be mine in the Philippines I will cancel the K3 because I don't want to spend more for my lodging, airfare and food going to the capital. If his place is close to the place where the interview will be hold then give it a shot... If they will require you to pay I guess it is not reasonable since you're almost done with the I-130 in the NVC... You are really close. Just keep calling the NVC about the status of your case... Once it is completed and they don't need more documents from you.... Wallaaa... That's it... Just wait for the appointment..

    2. His K3 is in Ghana where he lives. I don't want to pay for the K visa bc we already paid 230 for the DS-230 for the I130.I'm getting confuse with all of this Bc I've emailed the consular asking them to just cancel the I129,.and let us proceed with the I130 ,and haven't heard anything bk.so tired of dealing with this . when I fell in love with my husband ,I had no clue the hell this wld be. Once should we just fill the K3 form out and take all the necessary papers and b4 any money is exchange present them with the stuff for the I 130

    3. That is fine.. Just wait for the the appointment from NVC then..... Everything will be fine.... When I came here to US it's been 2 years plus after we get married... IT worth the wait.... I received my 10 years GC and all the headache stopped there.... You will be fine.... Just be patient and pray.... :) :) :) God bless...

  9. Will we have to send in a DS-2001?

  10. Once he said they didn't give him a form for the physical

    1. I am not sure how it works there but in the Philippines after he will receive his appointment from NVC,,, photocopy it and bring it to the designated hospital or clinic for his physical along with other required documents. All the forms and fees should be fee in the hospital/clinic itself. Did you call the NVC today for the status of your case? You can call the automated voice and they will tell you the status of your case... God bles...

    2. I mean, I arrived here in the US 2 years after we get married... sorry...

  11. Once I sent the consular an. email this is wht they sent bk: The Applicant should. only appear to the interview that reflects the petition he wants to pursue. does this mean if we don't want the K3 don't go

    1. Yes, you are right.... If you don't mind which state are you from? Did you call the NVC today?

  12. Once do we have to fill out a DS-2001.before NVC can schedule my husband for a interview?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. No, you didn't that... That's for K3 or K1, etc.. IT is not applicable for CR1... The last packet you will submit to the NVC is the DS-230 packet... IF they don't need anything from you anymore they will send you the appointment... Have you called them yet? Try to call them to update your case....

  13. Once I called NVC ,and they said it will take 20 days to review his DS-230 I sent it to them over night on the 10th

  14.
